Data We Process

Kaino Play is designed to minimize data processing. The information that may be processed is limited to what is needed to provide the service and core functionality.

Specifically:

• Local data: playlists, preferences, favorites, history, and cache stay on your device.
• Functional data: a technical device identifier (not linkable to any individual) may be used to keep sessions active and features consistent.
• AI assistant interactions (optional, requires consent): on first use of the chat, the app shows a popup asking whether to enable personalized suggestions. Only if explicit consent is given, general information about favorites and recently watched content is used to improve responses. Consent can be revoked at any time in the app's settings.
• In-app purchases: purchase verification data to manage subscriptions and access.
• Anonymous technical data: anonymized crash reports and diagnostic information (e.g., performance, stability) sent via Sentry to improve app reliability. No personal data is included in these reports.

How We Use Data

• Provide and maintain app features (including AI chat).
• Provide personalized AI assistant suggestions, only if the user has given explicit consent via the initial popup or the app's settings.
• Verify purchases and manage premium access.
• Improve stability, streaming quality and performance.
• Prevent abuse and provide technical support.

We do not sell or share your data for commercial purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use external services required to operate the app:

• Supabase for backend/edge functions.
• Sentry for crash reporting and performance.
• Apple / StoreKit for in-app purchases.

Local Storage

Playlists, preferences and cache remain on your device. You can remove this data by deleting playlists or uninstalling the app.

Your Choices

You control the sources you add. You can clear app data or revoke permissions (Photos, Microphone, Speech Recognition) in system settings.
